Nottingham Castle : Illuminate Take Over day

On Saturday 28 November 2015 as part of the V&A Protest poster exhibition ‘A World to Win’, Nottingham Castle Museum and Art Gallery (NCMG) created a free event that invited people to question their thoughts, share creativity and find their voice through workshops, debates and live events.

The day was inspired by themes from the exhibition A World to Win: Posters of Protest and Revolution which is on show at Nottingham Castle Museum and Gallery from 20 November 2015.

The day is hosted by the Illuminate group, NCMG’s Young Arts Collective and is supported using public funding by Arts Council England #aworldtowin
A programme of music, poetry and talks will be running throughout the day, including poetry from The Mouthy Poets , music from Revolution House and indie band The Fleets,

Revolution inspired costumes from artist Salina Popova and Live V.J-ing from artist Laura Mossop!

I have written a blog post about my process and set up for more indepth information about the day. Continue to read here…

Between my acts I was able to do some sketching on my phone, the last couple of images are sketches done while the performers sang.
