I’m an artist currently working in Derby, I am currently working to develop my creative practice to work with interactive installations, using a combination of illustration, traditional art practice and new digital media. I am currently very excited about the new technology with Augumented Reality and hope to work on future projects that really brings the audience into the artwork. I am working alongside the creative organisation QUAD, have a current exhibition at the Royal Derby Hospital and will soon be running traditional watercolour workshops that teach learners how new technology ( or the camera on their phone) can help them with traditional drawing and painting skills.

I have a passion for art learning and have previously ran a portrait business, creating illustrated portraits that aimed to reflect the subjects personality and interests as an update on the traditional fine art oil paintings. I used watercolour and photoshop to create these pieces and recieved favourable feedback. My interests have since moved on from portraits but not from the illustration side of creating.

I have become increasingly passionate about the ability visual communication can play within Museums and installations and ways it can be brought off the 2D page through interactive media.

I studied BA(Hons) Visual Communication at the University of Derby and went on to do classic portrait workshops with LARA in London and with classic portrait artist Louis Smith in 2014/ 2015 learning the sight/size method of drawing, charcoal and oil painting methods for portraits.
